Bringing India’s Street Food Together Under One Roof

At Chaat Chaat Curry, our journey began with a simple yet ambitious vision: to create a single destination where the diverse and rich flavors of India's street food could come together, all prepared with the highest standards of hygiene and quality.

The idea came to Arroon Gawalli, the founder of Chaat Chaat Curry, during his travels across India. Everywhere he went, he noticed one common love among people—street food. From the bustling lanes of Mumbai to the narrow alleys of Delhi, street vendors served up incredible flavors, each dish telling a story of its region. But along with the deliciousness came a concern—hygiene. As much as people loved street food, many hesitated due to cleanliness issues. This sparked a thought in Arroon’s mind: Why not create a place where people can enjoy all of India’s favorite street foods in a hygienic, comfortable setting?

And so, Chaat Chaat Curry was born—a place where chaai, chaat, and curry pav come together, offering a one-stop destination for all street food cravings without compromising on quality and hygiene.

The Growing Love for Chaai and Chaat in India

  • Tea Consumption: India is the second-largest producer of tea globally, with 1.365 billion kilograms produced in 2022. Over 1.16 billion kilograms were consumed domestically, translating to millions of cups enjoyed daily.
  • Chai Café Culture: The organized chai café industry in India has grown rapidly, reaching a market size of approximately USD 103 million in 2024, with a CAGR of 24.1%. This reflects the increasing demand for hygienic and ambient spaces to enjoy chaai.
  • Chaat Popularity: While chaat remains largely an unorganized market, its presence is undeniable, with street vendors serving millions of plates daily across the country.
